• We will make every effort to interview the patient by phone, text or video conference before the visit
  • If an emergency or urgent patient doesn’t have a fever and is otherwise without even mild symptoms consistent with COVID-19 infection (e.g. fever, sore through, cough, difficulty breathing), we will be able can be seen at our practice, with appropriate protocols and PPE in place
  • If patients wish, or if there isn’t enough space in the waiting room to allow for proper social distancing, they may wait in their personal vehicle or outside our facility where they will be contacted by mobile phone when its their turn to be seen.
  • We will be scheduling appointments apart to minimize possible contact with other patients in the waiting room
  • Our Patients will have their temperatures checked with an infrared thermometer before treatment
  • We will be giving our patients a special protective mask to wear. The mask covers with nose and has a built in shield for the eyes.

  • We will be asking our patients to refrain from bringing companions to their appointment, except for instances where the patient requires assistance (e.g. pediatric patients, people with special needs, elderly patients, etc.). Companions will be screened for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 during patient check-in and will not be allowed entry if symptoms are present. Companions who are perceived to be at a high risk of contracting COVID-19 will not be allowed to enter.
  • Although we are only seeing asymptomatic patients, patients who have tested negative for COVID-19 or recovered patients (after 3 days since resolution of signs and symptoms), we will ensure there are supplies for infection control, including hand-sanitizer, tissues and no-touch receptacles for at our office’s entrances, waiting room and during patient check-ins.
  • All staff members use PPE (personal protective equipment) and we have installed surgical air purification systems to remove any viral particles in the air.
  • We have removed magazines, reading materials and other objects that may be frequently touched by others or are hard to clean from our facility.
  • We have installed signage around the practice instructing our patients on standard recommendations for respiratory hygiene, cough etiquette and social distancing.
